Thomas Van Breda
Game Developer
SHORT SUMMARY
Hi, my name is Thomas Van Breda I'm a 23 year old highly dedicated Games Developer with a passion for games! I have been studying/working in game development and design for the past 6 years and have worked with multiple studios developing games on a variety of platforms such as mobile, VR and PC. I am very passionate when it comes to creating games and enjoy the challenges and freedom that they provide. I have also competed in multiple competitions at regional and national levels as well as making it to a World Skills international competition in 3D Game Art. I pride myself on my ability to learn quickly and be able to use a huge library of different programs all throughout the development process. Although my main focus is 3D game art I have a strong understanding and the ability to programme, animate and design games from scratch as demonstrated in my portfolio.
In addition to my proficiency as a Games Developer, I also possess relevant experience and expertise as a 3D artist. Fluent in software such as Zbrush, Maya, 3D Coat, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Unity, UE5, Character creator, iClone, Marvelous Designer and Arnold Renderer. I bring a large understanding and skill of 3D modeling and texturing to the table. I am well-versed in various aspects of game development, including game design, C# coding, effective communication, game prototypes, teamwork, computer skills, problem-solving, animation pipeline understanding, and customer service.
